Includes the following services:
- Basic services of funeral director and staff;
- Transfer of the decedent from the place of death within the state of Florida;
- Refrigeration of the remains (Florida has a 48 waiting period before cremation will be authorized);
- Cardboard alternative container;
- Obtaining and filing all necessary certificates and permits for cremation;
- Transportation of the remains to the crematory using our service vehicle;
- The cremation process;
- Temporary container for the cremated remains. (Note: Temporary containers are NOT meant for the long term storage of cremated remains. All Faiths Cremation Society offers a wide variety of urns and scattering vessels if desired.)
- Placement of obituaries in local newspapers (newspapers may charge you a fee for an obituary or death notice; we charge an additional fee for placement in national newspapers);
- Social Security Administration notification;
- Release of the cremated remains from our office to a family member or other designated person.
Special services included for honorably discharged veterans of US Armed Services:
- Obtaining a United States flag. This will be properly folded and presented to the next of kin;
- Coordination of interment of the cremated remains with a National Cemetery.
Required Additional Fees Not Included In Our Service Charge
- Medical Examiner's cremation approval fee (fee depends on county of death, average fee is $30.00.)
- Certified copies of the death certificate (fee depends on county of death and how many certificates you order, average fee is $10.00 each.)
